Responsive Development
Designed and implemented responsive and intuitive layouts using Next.js and React for seamless user interaction. At Carbonzero, I was responsible for developing and maintaining the frontend of their platform using Next.js and React. My role included designing user-friendly interfaces that facilitated seamless interaction for users seeking to measure, manage, and mitigate their climate impacts. By focusing on usability and accessibility, I ensured that the platform provided a smooth and intuitive experience for users. My work involved integrating features such as responsive design, easy navigation, and interactive elements, making it easier for users to access services, view carbon offset projects, and stay informed with the latest news. Tailwind CSS was used to streamline the styling process, ensuring a consistent and attractive user interface.
Interactive Features
Implemented dynamic components and data visualizations using modern frontend technologies to provide valuable insights. In addition to creating user-friendly interfaces, I focused on developing interactive components to enhance user engagement. These components provided users with valuable insights into their climate impact, helping them understand the benefits of GHG reduction and carbon offsetting. By integrating the CMS Sanity, I ensured that content management was seamless and efficient, allowing for easy updates and management of information. The use of GROQ for querying data from Sanity allowed for flexible and powerful data retrieval, enhancing the platform's responsiveness and interactivity. My efforts ensured that the Carbonzero platform was both visually appealing and highly functional, offering users an informative and engaging experience in their journey toward sustainability.
Deployment and Containerization
Deployed the platform using Vercel and containerized applications with Docker for scalability and reliability. For deployment, I utilized Vercel to ensure a scalable and reliable hosting solution for the platform. Vercel provided the necessary infrastructure to handle high traffic volumes and deliver a fast and seamless user experience. Additionally, Docker was used for containerization, ensuring consistent development and production environments. This setup allowed for efficient deployment processes and easier management of application dependencies. My efforts in deployment and containerization ensured that the Carbonzero platform could reliably support its users and effectively communicate its mission of sustainability.
